Head of Procurement and Stock Control

Taffelbay is a bakery chain in the Copenhagen area seeking a Head of Procurement and Stock Control. The primary goal is to ensure the bakery maintains the correct quantity, quality, and price of ingredients and supplies while preventing shortages, limiting waste, and controlling raw material costs.

Main Tasks

• Manage the ordering of raw materials, packaging, and consumables based on production plans and seasonal peaks (e.g., Fastelavn, Easter, and Christmas).
• Oversee supplier relationships, including price and quality comparisons, term negotiations, delivery scheduling, and handling complaints or credit notes.
• Receive and inspect deliveries for quantity, quality, temperature, and best-before dates, ensuring all deviations are recorded.
• Execute stock control by organizing storerooms, applying FIFO, performing regular stock counts, and maintaining accurate inventory records.
• Minimize waste and write-offs by monitoring expiry dates, adjusting order volumes, and identifying slow-moving items.
• Monitor raw material percentages by product group and report deviations to management and the Head Baker.
• Ensure goods are stored and labeled according to food safety rules and internal check programs, including traceability.
• Coordinate with the Head Baker, Scaling Room, and Dough/Laminated Pastry teams to anticipate production needs.
• Develop and agree upon stock plans for peak demand periods with the Head Baker.

Requirements

• Accuracy and a strong aptitude for numbers.
• Structured approach and strong planning skills.
• Clear communication skills for interacting with suppliers and colleagues.
• Good understanding of bakery ingredients and production processes.

Work Conditions and Benefits

• Employment: Salaried employee (funktionær) contract, full-time (37 hours per week).
• Working Hours: Daytime hours with one fixed weekday off and work every second weekend.
• Location: Strandvejen 213, 2900 Hellerup.
• Start Date: 9 November.
