Back End Lead Developer

Wellmo is seeking a Back End Lead Developer to lead architecture and back-end development for wellness and health service platform capabilities. The role focuses on delivering high-quality, reliable, and scalable software while coaching and guiding the development team.

Main Tasks

• Lead back-end architecture and development.
• Coach and guide the team on back-end architecture and development practices.
• Ensure software quality, reliability, and scalability.
• Adapt to and manage changes effectively.

Requirements

• Ability to quickly learn and work productively with Java + Spring, Morphia, and MongoDB, as well as Node + Postgres in a dockerized Linux + Kubernetes environment.
• Experience developing and maintaining APIs, including using and consuming third-party APIs.
• Understanding of trackers, queues, and authentication methods (Oauth, SAML).
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, OR versatile field experience.
• Proven experience in back-end development within small software teams, preferably in the medical IT sector.
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Understanding of Scrum and Agile methodologies.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with diverse team members and stakeholders.
• Familiarity with software development processes and the specific challenges of medical IT services.\n- A background in healthcare or medical informatics is considered a plus.
