Founding Engineer

Userlink is developing a system (the "brain") that integrates signals from various customer touchpoints—chat, email, phone, social, and on-site behavior—to identify and intervene in sales moments in real-time. The company operates AI agents for hundreds of Nordic webshops.

The Role
As one of the first engineers on the "brain" project, you will own components from initial idea to production, including data models, retrieval, evaluation, and real-time flows. You will write and ship code, making foundational architectural choices that subsequent engineers will build upon. The work is not pre-divided into tickets; you will actively help decide what gets built and how.

Because you are joining while the architecture is still taking shape, the role includes equity. You are expected to take responsibility like a co-owner, especially when challenges arise.

Requirements

• Experience building and running SaaS systems in production.
• Solid backend experience in Java or C#, and proficiency in React.
• Experience building LLM-based features and the ability to measure their effectiveness.
• A sense of ownership over products, including troubleshooting production issues.
• Experience with AI-assisted development in daily workflows.
• A founder mindset: you dream of building a company, ideally have experience starting something, and are willing to go beyond a standard job description.
• Ability to communicate honestly, learn quickly, and maintain a positive, solution-oriented mindset.
