Tasks

• Prepare and cook authentic Indian dishes including curries, tandoori, biryani, starters, and naan.
• Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portion size.
• Prepare ingredients by cutting, marinating, and creating spice mixes.
• Operate kitchen equipment, including the tandoor oven.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene according to food safety standards.
• Manage stock and reduce food waste.
• Follow established recipes and restaurant standards.
• Collaborate with the kitchen team and management.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Indian cook or chef.
• Strong knowledge of Indian spices and traditional cooking techniques.
• Experience with North Indian dishes (preferred).
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.
• Understanding of food safety and hygiene.
• Reliable, hardworking, and team-oriented.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Culinary training or relevant certification (preferred but not required).
• Experience with tandoor cooking (preferred but not required).
• Experience working in a professional Indian restaurant (preferred but not required).
