Indian Chef

We are seeking several skilled and passionate chefs to join our kitchen team in permanent, full-time positions. The role focuses on preparing authentic Indian cuisine while maintaining high standards of quality and hygiene.

Main Tasks:

• Dish Preparation: Preparing authentic Indian dishes, including curries, tandoori dishes, and traditional breads like naan, following established recipes.
• Ingredient Preparation: Careful pre-treatment of vegetables, meats, and spices.
• Hygiene and Cleanliness: Maintaining kitchen cleanliness and following HACCP regulations and general food hygiene standards.
• Teamwork: Collaborating smoothly with kitchen and front-of-house staff, especially during busy periods.
• Quality Control: Ensuring all dishes meet the restaurant's high standards for taste and quality.

Requirements:

• Experience: Previous work experience as an Indian cuisine chef.
• Expertise: Strong command of traditional Indian cooking techniques, spice usage, and the operation of a tandoor oven.
• Certifications: A valid hygiene proficiency certificate (or readiness to acquire one promptly).
• Languages: Good command of English; knowledge of Finnish or other languages is an advantage.
• Soft Skills: High stress tolerance for a fast-paced environment, a positive attitude, and the ability to work in a multicultural team.
• Availability: Readiness for shift work, including evenings and weekends.
