Chef / Head Chef – Mexican Cuisine About the Role We are looking for a passionate and experienced Chef / Head Chef to help build and lead a new Mexican restaurant concept in central Copenhagen. You will play a key role in creating authentic flavors, developing the menu, and establishing kitchen operations from the ground up. ️ Key Responsibilities Prepare authentic Mexican dishes (tacos, burritos, enchiladas, quesadillas, etc.) Produce fresh tortillas, salsas, guacamole, and traditional sauces daily Contribute to menu development and culinary innovation Ensure consistent food quality, presentation, and taste standards Maintain high standards of food hygiene and HACCP compliance Manage kitchen workflow, stock control, and ordering (Head Chef level) Train, supervise, and motivate kitchen staff (Head Chef level) Support efficient and well-organized kitchen operations What We’re Looking For Proven experience in Mexican or broader Latin American cuisine (essential) Minimum 3+ years of professional kitchen experience Experience working in fast-paced restaurant environments Strong understanding of food safety and kitchen organization Team-oriented mindset with leadership skills (especially for senior role) Good English skills required (Danish is a plus, not required) ⭐ Bonus Skills (Strong Advantages) Experience with traditional corn masa and tortilla production Background in taqueria or street food concepts Creative input in menu design and concept development Experience in international or multicultural kitchens What We Offer Competitive salary based on experience Full-time, stable position Opportunity to help build a new restaurant from the beginning Creative freedom and input in menu and concept development Friendly and international working environment in central Copenhage
