We are looking for a Head of the Meat Department (m/f/d) in our famila department store in Langenhagen with immediate effect. These tasks await you: - Your area of responsibility includes all work processes within a famila butcher's shop. You will manage and control all workflows and distribute tasks to your team. - You will be responsible for the technical support of your team within the butcher's shop and take time for our trainees. - You will promote and stage the famila quality butcher's shop, customer-friendly fresh food counter concept within the butcher's shop. - You will be responsible for the needs-based orders of advertising goods, day-to-day business and check the products for quality, cutting and ensure professional storage of goods in accordance with internal specifications in our cold rooms. - With your butcher's team, you cut the top meat and sausage products to size for the counter and present them in the meat/sausage counter. - You prevent inventory discrepancies through foresight, meat refinement and in-house production – you are responsible for coordinating regular inventories within the department. - You will be responsible for compliance with internal job descriptions as well as all relevant safety and hygiene regulations as well as legal requirements. This is what we want from you: - A completed apprenticeship as a butcher's / butcher's journeyman - ideally further training as a master butcher and several years of experience would be good. - Good insights and knowledge of the management of a butcher's shop including specialist knowledge of top meat and sausage products. - A positive charisma – which convinces our customers but also your team and you keep a cool head in stressful times. - A well-groomed external appearance and you are familiar with all legal hygiene regulations. - You have passion and motivation for the profession in sales at a butcher's shop - you are a team player, reliable and you have loyalty to the company. - You enjoy dealing with and serving our customers at the meat/sausage service counter. - You love respectful interaction with each other in the butcher's shop. - You are willing to provide service, have sales awareness and are flexible in terms of working hours.
