We are seeking a highly experienced and driven Senior Test Automation Engineer to lead and contribute to a strategically critical quality assurance initiative for a Scandinavian insurance client. This long-term engagement involves not only continuing an established project but also taking ownership of revising and elevating the overall QA strategy, including building a dedicated automation-first test team from the ground up. Key Responsibilities: • Act as a technical leader and primary automation architect within the test team. • Design and implement a robust, scalable, and maintainable test automation framework aligned with CI/CD principles. • Ensure tight integration of the automation layer with the client’s DevOps ecosystem, reporting pipelines, and system environments. • Drive the formulation of a prioritized and risk-based test automation roadmap aligned with business-critical processes. • Lead and participate in code reviews, mentoring, and technical enablement of junior testers and automation engineers. • Ensure full traceability between test cases, business requirements, and defect tracking. • Drive test reliability, resilience, and early failure detection. • Collaborate daily with distributed teams, solution architects, developers, and product owners across borders. • Proactively identify process inefficiencies and opportunities for test improvement. • Proven track record in leading technical test sessions with external clients • Proficiency in identifying and shaping client requirements efficiently • Ensuring compliance of banking operations with legal and regulatory requirements • Ability to analyze financial statements, calculate financial ratios and ensure the accuracy of calculations • Proficiency in using the PMT formula for repayment calculations Professional Requirements: • Minimum 6+ years of experience in software testing with at least 4 years focused on test automation, including framework design from scratch. • Mastery of at least one of the following tools: Selenium, Ranorex, TestComplete, or similar enterprise-level automation tools. • Advanced knowledge of C# or JavaScript, including best practices in coding for testability and maintainability. • Strong database skills, especially in SQL; experience with test data management. • Demonstrated experience in building automation frameworks in a CI/CD pipeline, preferably using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps. • Proven experience working in distributed, international teams and directly interfacing with clients and stakeholders. • Minimum 5 years of extensive experience in the Finance domain, particularly in banking systems • Hands-on experience and in-depth understanding of e-commerce solutions • Proficiency with ReadyAPI, including conducting Performance tests • Strong expertise in Elasticsearch (Kibana or similar) • Experience with accessibility testing WCAG 2.2 levels A-AAA is a must
