Automation Service Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Automation Service Engineer to support customers under service agreements in sectors including life sciences, chemicals, food and beverage, power and heat generation, and energy management. The role involves engineering and commissioning tasks for both ongoing service and specific projects.

Main Tasks:

• Handle service requests and resolve urgent customer issues.
• Plan and execute control system hardware and software work, including on-site and remote commissioning.
• Maintain the quality of installed base records.
• Collaborate with service coordinators, project managers, lead engineers, teammates, and customer contacts.
• Participate in upgrade and modernization projects as needed.
• Deliver high-quality service work efficiently while adhering to contract terms, budgets, quality standards, and safety rules.

Requirements:

• Degree in automation engineering or comparable hands-on experience.
• Understanding of power plant automation and electrical systems, including PLC design.
• Background in engineering work within life sciences, chemicals, food and beverage, or power generation.
• Good command of Finnish and English (spoken and written); Swedish is an advantage.
• Customer-oriented and collaborative mindset with a drive to learn.
• Familiarity with IT and cyber security, or a willingness to learn these areas.

Work Conditions:

• Location: Helsinki, Pirkkala, or Vaasa (hybrid).
• Travel: Approximately 30-150 travel days per year, depending on the split between remote work and customer sites.
• Contract: Temporary, approximately 6-12 months (to be confirmed).
• Workload: 100% (Full-time).
• Start: As soon as possible.
