Instead, the profession focuses on preparing, cutting and refining high-quality meat products and delicacies. During your apprenticeship, you will learn to: Cut and prepare premium meat products. Produce charcuterie, delicacies, convenience foods and ready meals. Develop new recipes and food products. Work with food safety and quality control. Plan production and work closely with experienced colleagues. After completing your apprenticeship, you will receive a Danish Journeyman's Certificate, a respected vocational qualification recognised both in Denmark and internationally. Has completed compulsory education or an equivalent qualification. Can communicate in English. Is willing to learn Danish and become part of Danish culture. Enjoys teamwork and takes responsibility. Salary and employment conditions The apprenticeship lasts 3½ years, and you will receive a salary throughout the entire programme. Monthly salary (collective agreement between DSM and the Danish Food Workers' Union, NNF): Apprenticeship Year Salary (DKK) Approx. EUR 1st year per month 13.708 1.835 2nd year per month 17.343 2.321 Remaining apprenticeship per month 20.490 2.743 Adult apprentice per month 26.839 3.593 Working hours: 160.33 hours per month Employer-paid pension contribution of 12.6% after three months of employment. Salary is paid in Danish Kroner (DKK). Your education Your practical training will take place at Born & Kolstrup, located in Rødovre Centrum, just 8 km from Copenhagen City Hall Square.
