BOKU UNIVERSITY The Department of Biotechnology and Food Science, Institute of Food Technology is currently seeking a 1 Postgraduate Research Associate (Reference code 05) Extent of employment: 30 hours per week Duration of employment: 1st of March 2026, limited to 28th of February 2030 Allocation in compliance with the Collective Agreement for University Staff to job group: B1 Gross monthly salary: (depending on previous eligible experience) at least: € 2.832,10 (payable 14 times per year) Responsibilities º Research and teaching in the field of cereal and baking technology º Conducting a PhD with particular focus on bakery products from alternative grains is desired º Fundamental chemical and physical characterization of raw material, intermediate and end products º Determination of nutritional properties of raw materials, intermediate and final products º Development of processing methods for bakery products º Sensory analysis of products º Participation in teaching tasks of the working group food technology º Supporting the area of food analyses within the working group food technology Required skills and qualifications º Diploma degree in food technology or other equivalent university degree º Language Skills: English and German Level B2 Desirable skills and qualifications º Knowledge in bakery products and cereal science º Know-how and practical experience of food analysis º Didactic skills Applications can be submitted until: 5th of February 2026 University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences Vienna seeks to increase the number of its female faculty and staff members.
