Test & Laboratory Engineer – Aurora Propulsion Technologies

Conditions

Tasks

• Develop and maintain the company's testing infrastructure.
• Design, build, and maintain custom test equipment, such as vacuum chambers and integrated sensor systems.
• Conduct practical testing of satellite components and propulsion modules.
• Perform mechanical and electronic assembly, including CAD modeling.
• Design software for the test equipment.
• Collaborate with the senior test manager and engineers to convert concepts into functional test setups.
• Manage the laboratory, including cleanroom maintenance, equipment purchase planning, installations, and upkeep.

Requirements

• Versatile engineering skills with a solid understanding of electronics, mechanics, and basic software principles.
• Proven ability to build, assemble, and troubleshoot mechanical and electronic systems.
• Demonstrated experience in projects involving complex assembly, such as drones.
• High level of diligence and understanding of cleanroom protocols for working with vacuum systems, pressure systems, and chemicals.
• Internal drive and initiative to solve problems independently.
• Professional fluency in both written and spoken English.
• Must pass a security background check (SUPO) before starting employment.

Preferred

• Basic knowledge of electronics design software, such as KiCAD.
• Experience with manufacturing techniques like 3D printing, laser cutting, or machining.
• Knowledge of software development.
• Previous experience in laboratory or cleanroom environments.
