Arctic Skylight Lodge is a hotel opened in 2020, located less than 5 km from the center of Äkäslompolo. The surroundings are unique, as all our buildings are situated in the middle of the forest. We offer 10 glass cabins, a glass-walled restaurant with 22 seats, and a stunning riverside sauna with an outdoor hot tub, featuring views of the river and the possibility for ice swimming throughout the winter. The restaurant serves breakfast for hotel guests, lunch, and in the evenings a three-course menu. We are looking for a Head Chef to join our team someone with the skills to create delicious and beautifully presented dishes for our guests. We expect flexibility, resilience under pressure, and the ability to lead a small team. We require versatile experience, a self-directed approach to work, and strong problem-solving skills. We hope you can design dishes that delight our guests and make them want to return. Our menu has traditionally included three starters, four main courses, and three desserts, with flavors ranging from Nordic tastes to Asian influences. There is also a possibility to work morning shifts. The working language is mainly English. Work begins in November and lasts until the end of the season in April. Salary is negotiable depending on experience. Accommodation is provided and it is located 1,5km away from lodge. We are also looking for chefs, waiters, waitresses and a cleaner to join our team.
