Software Development Project Manager

As a Software Development Project Manager, you will lead key R&D initiatives where software, robotics, process know-how, and surface finishing expertise converge to create next-generation automation solutions for global industrial customers. You will work with world-class automation technologies in a stable, innovative family-owned environment.

Main Tasks

• Managing the full lifecycle of complex software and automation projects, bridging technical execution with business goals.
• Leading software development projects from initial concept to final market release.
• Coordinating multidisciplinary technical teams within a matrix organization.
• Overseeing the renewal and modernization of existing automation products.
• Managing the end-to-end development of a completely new software product.
• Applying agile methodologies to ensure efficient project delivery.
• Facilitating communication between technical teams and internal stakeholders.
• Ensuring software integrations align with industrial automation standards.

Requirements

• At least 3-5 years of project management experience in technology-driven environments.
• Solid understanding of software development processes and agile methodologies.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary technical teams.
• Good understanding of industrial automation systems and software integration.
• Fluent English communication skills.

Meritorious Qualifications

• Knowledge of computer vision, robotics, or scanning technologies.
• Experience with AI-based automation solutions.
• Background in customer-oriented project implementations.
• Relevant technical degree.
• Proficiency in Finnish.
