Student Assistant in our Control Center - night shift position

Role and Tasks
Nordic RCC is seeking a student assistant to work as an operator in our control center during night shifts from 21.00 PM to 07.15 AM, covering weekdays, weekends, and holidays. The shift length is 10.25 hours, and the schedule is planned and updated three times a year, ensuring at least four months of planned shifts. You can expect an average of 70-80 working hours per month.

You will work alone in the office during shifts, with an on-call colleague available to assist with technical matters if needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Participating in the 24/7 control center shift roster, mainly covering night hours from 21.00 to 07.15.
• Relieving a colleague operator from the evening shift and being ready to enter the control center within minutes when alerted.
• Becoming an expert in executing services provided from the 24/7 Nordic RCC control center.
• Maintaining qualifications and knowledge in operator control systems, including routine training during office hours.
• Interfacing with Nordic TSOs control centers and cooperating with them to secure service processes.
• Troubleshooting and fixing challenges in services with NRCC IT support.
• Recording and reporting KPIs weekly and monthly.
• Assisting back-office operators with small tasks, such as visit approval to the core room.

Additional Tasks

• Depending on flexibility and competence, you may be involved in other areas, such as testing system updates, quality assurance, data retrieval for operational reporting, and providing analytical insights on operational planning scenarios.

Language Requirement

• Fluency in spoken and written English is required, as well as a motivation for working in an international environment.

Workplace

• Daily workplace is in the NRCC control center at the office premises in Copenhagen Towers, Ørestad.
