ROSKILDE: THATCHERS WANTED – A BAD HAIR DAY IS ACTUALLY PART OF THE JOB Straw in your hair. Straw on your clothes. Straw in places you didn’t even know straw could get into. But at the end of the day, you’ll have a thatched roof you can look at and be proud of. We are looking for several skilled thatchers to work on thatched roofs in and around Roskilde. A CRAFT YOU CAN ACTUALLY SEE Your working day will revolve around thatching and thatched roofs. You’ll work on a variety of tasks within the trade, where craftsmanship, precision and attention to the finished result really matter. Because there’s one slightly unforgiving thing about a thatched roof: It’s pretty difficult to hide a poor finish behind a sheet of plasterboard. WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR? There are two ways you could be a good fit: You have relevant training or qualifications or You have hands-on experience with thatching. The important thing is that you know the trade and are able to contribute from day one. In addition: ✔ A Category B driving licence is required ✔ A BE driving licence is a plus ✔ You can work independently ✔ You take pride and responsibility in your craftsmanship ✔ You have an eye for quality and a good finish ✔ You’re comfortable with your workplace being a little higher up than the car park A COMPANY VEHICLE CAN BE PROVIDED So there’s no need to turn your own car into a combination of toolbox, storage unit and hay bale. If you want to work in a trade where quality craftsmanship is still done by hand – and can be admired from a distance, we’d like to hear from you. And no...
