We are looking for a preclinical Imaging / Radiochemistry Specialist to strenghten our Science team in Kuopio, Finland. As Imaging / Radiochemistry Specialist, you are responsible for supporting scientists and lab personnel in preclinical imaging studies in a global, cross-functional environment. You are in charge of planning, executing, and monitoring the radiolabeling of test articles as well as planning and monitoring of nuclear imaging and autoradiography projects alongside with study directors. Moreover, you support radiation safety of the workplace together with the Radiation Safety Officer. You will work in close collaboration with the commercial teams to provide subject matter expertise for client communication and participate in the generation of scientific marketing materials and contribute to the development of new services for the business unit. You are part of a multi-disciplinary preclinical research team and report to Group Leader, Advanced Technologies. Skills and Competencies: - Excellent planning, problem-solving and organizational skills. Ability to work flexibly across projects and adapt to new priorities in a fast-paced environment. - Collaborative team player comfortable working and communicating in a cross-functional and international environment. Track record in people and project management and ability to mentor and train staff will be an asset. - Excellent verbal and written skills in English, scientific writing skills, good presentation skills with ability to professionally communicate with internal and external stakeholders. - Right to design procedures and projects involving laboratory animals in Finland through a FELASA-accredited course is advantageous. Qualifications: - Masters degree (M.Sc.) or equivalent degree in biological science, chemistry, biomedical physics, or related discipline. - Minimum two years of work experience in industry or academia. Knowledge and practical experience in radiolabeling of biomolecules, radiosynthesis or nuclear imaging (PET, SPECT). - Experience with in vivo studies in rodents is an asset. - Good understanding and practical experience in using common imaging data analysis platforms, processing pipelines is advantageous.
