The Psychological Counseling Services within the Student Services Office (SSO) provide accessible, culturally sensitive mental health support to CEU¿s international population of students, staff and faculty. We are seeking a Psychological Counselor (f/m/d) to join our team in Vienna on a part-time basis. This is a one year fixed-term maternity cover position. The successful candidate will work in a multicultural, English-speaking environment and contribute to the wellbeing of young adults and the wider university community. Duties and Responsibilities * Individual counseling: hold 45-minute-long sessions for students, staff and faculty on demand * Group counseling: take part or lead thematic group sessions for students * Psycho-education lectures, seminars, workshops for students occasionally * Administer screening tests when needed * Case management: run individual files, assist cases of emergency * Outreach to internal units (medical center, disability office, etc.) and external parties (psychiatrists, hospitals, etc.) * Weekly meeting with supervisor and colleagues * Assistance with Peer Counseling Qualifications * Degree in Clinical Psychology with eligibility to practice in Austria or the United States. * Relevant professional experience. * Experience working with international students and/or young adults. * Experience working with or demonstrated competence in supporting LGBTQ+ individuals. * Excellent command of English (working language). Nice to have: * Additional training or certification in therapeutic approaches (e.g. CBT, mindfulness-based interventions, trauma-informed care). * Experience in a university or higher education counseling setting with young adults. * Strong intercultural competence and sensitivity to diverse cultural, social and ethnic backgrounds.
