Turku International School is looking for an enthusiastic music teacher with a passion for band instruments. This is a part-time teaching position for the spring term, from January 7 to May 30, 2026. Teaching hours: 7 hours per week. The necessary qualification requirements are determined by the Decree on Qualification Requirements for Teaching Staff (986/98). The person chosen for the position must provide their employer with an extract from the criminal records referred to in section 6, subsection 2 of the Criminal Records Act (Act on Checking the Criminal Background of Persons Working with Children, 504/2002). This public-service employment relationship is subject to a six-month trial period. The language of instruction at our school is English, so we require fluent English skills. Turku International School (TIS) provides basic education for grades 1-9. We follow the City of Turkus curriculum, which is based on the national core curriculum for basic education. The language of instruction is predominantly English. Starting in 2026, we will be operating in new premises in Turkus Kupittaa district at Lemminkäisenkatu 30.
