About the Role As an Early Childhood Education Nurse, you will play a key role in supporting childrens health, wellbeing, and development within our daycare community. You will participate in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of early childhood education and care, working closely with teachers, families, and other team members to create a nurturing environment for every child. You will also contribute to maintaining a safe and hygienic learning environment, monitor childrens health and wellbeing, and support families in matters related to care and early development. Start date: As soon as possible. Qualifications - A nursing qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) — for example, a Bachelors degree in Social Services or an equivalent qualification including a child nurse (lastenhoitaja / lähihoitaja) specialization. - Qualification must be approved or recognized by the Finnish National Agency for Education (Opetushallitus) if obtained outside Finland. - Experience working with children aged 1–6 years, preferably in an early childhood education or daycare setting. - Strong understanding of child health, hygiene, safety, and wellbeing. - Excellent English skills and a valid work permit (if applicable). - A criminal record extract (in accordance with Finnish law 504/2002 for employees working with children) will be required before employment. Our Educational Approach Our approach is based on full-day pedagogy and small group care. English is our main language of communication, and we integrate language development into all daily activities for both native speakers and children learning English as a second language. The monthly salary for a full-time early childhood education childcare worker ranges from €2,415.76 to €2,712.33.
