As an Area Sales Manager you are a part of the worldwide sales team selling protein ingredients to the animal FEED industry (feed, pet food and aquafeed). You play a crucial role in the expansion of our customer portfolio and maintaining long-term relationships with our current customers within USA & Canada. Main Responsibilities Establish and maintain major relationships and generate new business Responsible for all aspects of allocated prospects and customers Prepare all aspects of client meetings and presentations to senior procurement and sourcing teams. (nutritionist, veterinaries, purchasers, …) Communicate effectively with the different manufacturing plants within Veos Group Develop detailed product knowledge and in-depth understanding of the pet food, piglet and aquafeed market Responsible for identifying and approaching potential new customers Develop long term customer commitment and relationships with (key account) customers Thinking strategically with the customers and identifying new business opportunities Develop and implement an annual sales plan Minimum 2 years of outside B2B sales experience (supply to the pet food & feed industry would be ideal) Successful track record of growing territory and sales as well as of increasing and exceeding revenue Understanding of manufacturing processes Sales driven, Self-starter personality with strong focus on results Presentation and negotiation skills at senior level in English (Dutch and/or other languages are clearly an advantage) Willing to travel (+/- 20%) DNA: entrepreneurship, respect, modesty & good vibes
