OT/IT Engineer

Actiw is looking for an OT/IT Engineer to design and implement OT and IT solutions for international automation system projects. You will work on a variety of projects involving servers, networks, industrial IT, and cybersecurity, covering everything from design and configuration to testing, documentation, commissioning, and support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and configure network solutions, including switches, routers, firewalls, Linux servers, virtual machines, and databases.
• Ensure system cybersecurity by managing access rights, secure remote connections, and updates.
• Collaborate with software, electrical, and automation engineers, as well as customer IT and cybersecurity specialists.
• Support the sales team during the RFQ phase by reviewing requirements and defining technical solutions.
• Develop and maintain standardized OT/IT solutions, such as server/VM templates and reference network architectures.
• Ensure compliance with relevant OT/IT standards and regulations.

Work Conditions:

• This is a permanent, full-time position with direct employment by Actiw.
• Primary workplace is in Jyväskylä or Pieksämäki.
• Hybrid working model allowing for remote work a few days a week.
• Occasional travel within Finland and abroad may be required.

Requirements:

• Relevant educational background in information technology, automation, or electrical engineering.
• Practical work experience in technical environments with familiarity with industrial IT and automation.
• Experience with Linux server environments and a solid understanding of computer networks and networking principles.
• Experience with virtualization, databases, network devices, firewalls, and secure network solutions is valued.
• A good understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals.
• Knowledge of machine safety, industrial cybersecurity standards, and regulations is an advantage.
• A systematic, solution-oriented approach and the ability to turn requirements into clear documentation.",
