Sushi Chef

Moonsun ApS is seeking a skilled and dedicated Sushi Chef for a full-time, permanent position at a sushi restaurant in Copenhagen. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality sushi and Japanese dishes while ensuring strict adherence to food safety and hygiene standards.

Main Tasks

• Prepare a variety of sushi, including nigiri, maki, uramaki, and other specialties.
• Prepare fish, seafood, rice, and vegetables according to established standards.
• Maintain consistent food quality, freshness, presentation, and portion control.
• Manage food storage, temperature control, and hygiene procedures.
• Keep the kitchen, equipment, and workstations clean and organized.
• Monitor ingredient stock and assist with ordering and inventory management.
• Comply with Danish food safety regulations and workplace procedures.
• Collaborate efficiently with other kitchen staff.

Requirements

• Relevant experience in sushi preparation and Japanese cuisine is preferred.
• Good knowledge of sushi ingredients, preparation techniques, and food hygiene.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable, responsible, and detail-oriented.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays when required.
