Trainee, Test Systems & Data

Bluefors is seeking two trainees to join the Test Systems & Data team, focusing on the systems and data underlying product testing in manufacturing. The role offers a flexible focus: one trainee may specialize in Manufacturing Test Systems (automation, software, scripts, and measurement equipment), while the other focuses on Manufacturing Data (databases, SQL, data pipelines, APIs, and analytics). Both roles may involve cross-functional work depending on the candidate's background and team needs.

Main Responsibilities:

• Support the development and improvement of manufacturing test systems, automation, software, and scripts.
• Work with measurement equipment, instrument interfaces, test execution, validation, and data collection.
• Process, analyze, and visualize manufacturing and test data.
• Support the development of databases, data pipelines, integrations, reports, and dashboards.
• Improve manufacturing data quality and product-to-test-result traceability.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and maintain clear technical documentation.
• Complete development and testing tasks under the guidance of experienced engineers.

Work Conditions:

• The positions are fixed-term contracts running through 2027.
• Initially, the work is approximately three days per week on an hourly basis.
• From May through September, the positions transition to full-time.
• Work is primarily on-site in Helsinki, with potential for remote work once independent work is established.

Requirements:

• Ongoing studies in a relevant technical field (e.g., automation, electrical/electronics engineering, computer science, software/data engineering, industrial engineering).
• Some programming experience from studies, projects, or previous employment.
• Systematic problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach to technical systems and data.
• Ability to document work clearly and a willingness to learn new tools and technologies.
• Excellent command of English (written and spoken).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Python or other relevant programming languages.
• Experience with SQL, databases, data pipelines, or APIs.
• Experience with Power BI or other reporting tools.
• Familiarity with electrical measurement equipment, electronics, or test automation.
• Familiarity with Git, GitLab, or other version-control systems.
• Experience in producing technical documentation.
