Quality Engineer

Wärtsilä is seeking two Quality Engineers to contribute to the development and continuous improvement of quality management processes within the Delivery Centre Sustainable Technology Hub in Vaasa. This role provides an opportunity to influence quality development in a global manufacturing environment, utilizing modern quality systems and data-driven decision-making.

Your role and responsibilities
As a Quality Engineer, you will collaborate with manufacturing teams, system developers, and the global quality network to drive excellence. Your work will involve quality system development, data analytics, quality assurance, quality control, and traceability management. Key responsibilities include:

• Developing and maintaining quality data management solutions for performance monitoring and continuous improvement.
• Ensuring proper documentation management and quality records.
• Supporting manufacturing quality processes and the implementation of new practices.
• Analyzing and utilizing quality data to drive improvements.
• Representing the quality/system control perspective in development projects.

Requirements

• BSc or MSc in a relevant field of engineering.
• Fluency in English (Finnish language skills are an advantage).
• Ability to collaborate across functions and global teams.
• Strong knowledge of quality data and documentation management.
• Understanding of 4-stroke engine products and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with AI, automation, or data analytics tools to improve quality processes is considered an advantage.
