Taxi driver

We are seeking taxi drivers to operate via Uber and Bolt in the Helsinki capital region. This role is suitable for both experienced drivers and those looking to start a new career in the trade. You will be employed as a regular employee rather than a self-employed entrepreneur, ensuring you receive all standard employment benefits.

Main Tasks

• Provide high-end driving services in urban areas.
• Operate radio dispatch systems and GPS systems.
• Maintain vehicle appearance and handle petty cash.
• Assist passengers and use communication devices.
• Drive for Uber and Bolt, with the possibility to move to Taksi Helsinki (including Kela and MPK rides) upon completing the necessary card.

Work Conditions

• Shift Options: Flexible shifts are available, including day, evening, night, and weekend-only options. Shifts are agreed upon mutually.
• Fleet: Access to a new fleet of well-kept Toyota Corolla Touring models (2022–2023) based in Espoo, Vantaa, and Helsinki. An electric fleet is also available for Taksi Helsinki.
• Pay Structure: Commission-based pay calculated from the VAT-free cash of each shift, plus a monthly holiday bonus. Customer tips are kept entirely by the driver.
• Contract: Permanent employment contract.

Requirements

• Permit: A valid taxi driver's permit (taksinkuljettajan ajolupa) is required. If you do not have one, you must obtain it.
• Language: Sufficient command of Finnish or Swedish is required to pass the taxi driver's exam (which is only held in these languages).
• Driving Licence: Category B driving licence held for at least one year (issued in Finland or another EU/EEA country).
• Experience: Previous taxi experience is an advantage but not mandatory.
