Senior Electrical Design Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer for a project-based role in Helsinki. This position is open only to candidates already residing in Finland, as relocation is not possible.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate electrical design work within product development projects.
• Select, dimension, and specify main and auxiliary circuit components for electrical cabinets.
• Design prototype test cabinets and specify type testing requirements, including environmental and dielectric verification.
• Contribute to concept-level electrical architecture and technical decision-making.

Requirements:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering (B.Sc., M.Sc., or Ph.D.).
• Previous experience in lead or senior electrical design roles.
• Understanding of low-voltage electrical systems, component dimensioning, and relevant standards.
• Experience with electrical engineering design tools.
• Ability to manage both detailed design tasks and the overall technical picture.
• Fluent English (Finnish language skills are an advantage).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience with type testing procedures and documentation.
• Experience with electrical wiring and harness design.
• Experience with the EPLAN product family (2D/3D) is beneficial but not required.

Work Conditions:

• Contract: Temporary (12-month project duration, with the possibility of multi-year collaboration).
• Start Date: 1 December 2026, or by the beginning of January 2027 at the latest.
• Location: Helsinki, preferably at least two days per week on-site (negotiable).
• Allocation: 100%.
