CNC Vertical Turning Lathe Operator (Siemens)

We are seeking an experienced CNC Vertical Turning Lathe Operator / CNC Machinist to join a skilled manufacturing team in Pöytyä, Finland. This role involves working with large-scale, high-precision components using modern machinery, including the BOST VTL 68 CY, one of the largest vertical lathes in the Nordic region.

Key Responsibilities

• CNC machining and turning of large and demanding workpieces.
• Setup and operation of Siemens-controlled vertical turning lathes.
• Running, editing, and optimizing machining programs.
• Performing measurements and quality control.
• Collaborating with production and engineering teams to ensure efficient manufacturing.

Requirements

• Experience in CNC turning and/or CNC machining.
• Knowledge of Siemens CNC controls.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Good understanding of measuring equipment and quality requirements.
• Independent and responsible working attitude.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with vertical turning lathes (VTL).
• Experience machining large workpieces.
• Multi-axis machining expertise.
• Experience with overhead cranes and heavy component handling.
• CAD/CAM knowledge.
