Customer Solution Engineer

In this role, you will act as a key technical bridge between customers and the engineering team. You will combine electrical engineering knowledge with a customer-oriented mindset to solve technical challenges, working closely with the sales team to ensure customized marine solutions meet technical, cost, and safety requirements.

Your tasks include:

• Translating customer needs into optimal technical specifications and solutions.
• Participating in customer meetings and providing technical and cost-related support to sales.
• Creating detailed specifications for non-standard marine projects.
• Coordinating engineering schedules and delivery timelines between the supply line and the customer.
• Ensuring proposed technical solutions comply with marine codes, regulations, and safety standards.
• Analyzing change requirements during project delivery and proposing updated solution plans.
• Conducting occasional site visits to shipyards and vessels for hands-on technical coordination.
• Conducting site surveys onboard ships for modernization projects.

Requirements:

• Basic knowledge of electrical engineering and electrical systems.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken).
• Experience using CAD tools such as AutoCAD or Vertex.
• Willingness to travel occasionally within Europe and visit shipyard sites.
• Strong proactive attitude with excellent communication and prioritization skills.

Meritorious qualifications:

• Experience in the marine, shipyard, or maritime industry.
• Knowledge of SAP systems.
• Familiarity with Finnish, French, Italian, or Mandarin Chinese.
• Understanding of modern digital solutions.
