Finance Specialist

Explore the North is a growing tourism consortium with two hotels in Finland, Valkea Lodge and Kaamos Lodge, and six hotels in Sweden. We are strengthening our finance team and are seeking a Finance Specialist who can manage accounting and is willing to be involved in creating new processes. Your responsibilities include: - bookkeeping and reconciliations (main ledger, reconciliations, bank accounts) - monthly and annual closings - transferring bookkeeping internally step by step together with the current bookkeeping partner - VAT declarations and other official reports - tracking cash flow and monitoring payment traffic - possibly building a new management reporting system based on your skills and experience - assisting in financial statements - the role offers flexibility and can be adjusted based on your expertise (e.g., various financial management projects). You will report to the finance manager in Finland and have two finance colleagues in Sweden. Payroll is outsourced. The role requires travel readiness in the Lapland area. We expect you to have: - a trade diploma or equivalent (accounting or finance) - at least 2 years of experience in financial management and strong bookkeeping skills - experience with monthly closings - strong Excel skills and fluent use of ERP systems - good Finnish language skills and sufficient English for work - reside in Lapland or the Oulu area. We consider an advantage of knowledge of Swedish bookkeeping and experience in a consortium environment or the tourism and hotel industry. The job offers growth and change.
