Descriptif mission Description of the Job In this role, the Lead Engineer (Mechanical / Hydraulic Testing) will actively participate in NPI (New Product Introduction), technology and value engineering programs of Safran Electronics & Defense business unit by assessing test requirements, authoring test procedures and test reports, performing qualification testing, analyzing / interpreting test data and investigating test failures. The associate engineer will support various Actuation Systems product lines including Power Door Opening System (PDOS), Thrust Reverser Actuation Systems (TRAS) and Highlift Flap and Slat Actuation systems. 2. Lead Testing Engineering Responsibilities and Technical Skillset o Understand the requirements and generate test procedures. o Plan for test set-up based on the available test equipment resources and plan for procurement as required to complete the test set-up. o Provide requirements for test fixture development and co-ordinate with cross-functional teams for development and procurement. o Understand the requirements of mechanical and hydraulic test rigs o Conduct Mechanical / Hydraulic component qualification testing and document test evidence. o Knowledge of hydraulic circuits, servo valves etc and its applications o Knowledge of qualification test standards such as DO-160 and MIL-STD-810, ARP1383 o Understand qualification test requirements and create a qualification test plan, test procedures, test reports and analysis & similarity reports. o Able to understand and interpret test data. o Identify and evaluate test facilities to meet test requirements and coordinate with the suppliers. o Assistance in off-site testing including transportation, assembly and commissioning of all necessary support equipment, and performance of function tests during off-site testing. o Failure reporting of the tests and working with cross functional teams to analyze the failures. o Actively participate in a team environment to meet project objectives. o Ensure 5S in the test lab before and after the test activities. o Strong application of health and safety compliance and risk assessment
