Descriptif missionIntegrated into the Engineering Directorate of Safran Electronics and Defense as Project Manager for the development of electronic control units for avionics, you will be responsible for the development of the electronic boards and systems within the avionics computers R&D team located in Bengaluru such as flight control systems, automatic pilot, braking and infotainment system) In this scope, you will be required to communicate with the development team in France and report defined KPIs to the project sponsor. You will operate in alignment with the local engineering manager and in close collaboration with the local electronic control unit development teams working in system, electronics, software and hardware engineering. You will define and set up technical, organizational and financial solutions to meet the defined targets. In this role, you will be accountable during tender phase for the effort estimation and project planning or/and will manage the development schedule to ensure OTD, cost control, quality and adherence to applicable standards and regulations. Job description: o Collect product and system requirements from project stakeholders o Ensure quality of customer product specifications and will be responsible to create and maintain coherent Work Breakdown Structures o Release effort estimation and associated planning after review with the team o Manage electronic control unit development team schedule to ensure on time deliveries to the internal customer o Manage technical requirements relevant to the project scope and be responsible to track technical changes requests o Support, assess and review technical decisions o Manage communication among the different disciplines (mechanical, software, FPGA,...) within the project o Resolve schedule conflict and develop technical solutions with inputs from multi domain functional teams, ensuring high levels of quality of technical deliverables o Support the production process according to the defined standards o Report agreed and clear KPIs to customer, sponsors and the local organization o Propose measures in case of deviation and plan risk mitigation o Plan, track and validate outsourced workpackages o Conduct issue analysis and propose lessons learnt o Take part and report activity during periodic Project Team Meetings o Update and track resource planning with resource managers
