Work tasks: Job Responsibilities * Monitor the spread of misinformation and disinformation across social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Threads, TikTok, and other digital platforms, using Meta Content Library, Meta Fact-Checking tools, TikTok monitoring systems, and other analytical platforms. * Verify suspicious or misleading content using open-source intelligence (OSINT), digital investigations, geolocation, source verification, and other fact-checking methods. * Prepare fact-checking and debunking articles in Georgian and English. Knowledge of Russian is considered an advantage. * Edit and quality-assure analytical reports, fact-checking articles, and other research materials prepared by colleagues. * Monitor and analyze Foreign Information Manipulation and Interference (FIMI) activities aimed at influencing democratic institutions, public discourse, and the information environment. * Prepare analytical reports, assessments, policy analyses, and briefings on disinformation trends, influence operations, and emerging information threats. * Coordinate and supervise the production of multimedia content supporting fact-checking and counter-disinformation activities. * Manage and publish articles and multimedia content on the GeoFacts online platform. * Monitor the TikTok information environment to identify emerging misinformation narratives and coordinated influence campaigns. * Prepare misinformation reports and submit them through TikTok’s official reporting and monitoring systems. * Cooperate with fact-checking organizations, technology companies, researchers, civil society organizations, and international partners. * Contribute to the development of methodologies, analytical frameworks, verification procedures, and research tools for monitoring and countering disinformation and information manipulation.
