Mining Operations Manager
Environmental Engineer coordinates and promotes environmental permit application procedures for company's mining and plant operations for Mondo Minerals B.V. Branch Finland in compliance with environmental legislation. The position holder is expected to understand the business aspects that influence the permitting processes and impact assessments. The position holder is responsible for maintaining, updating and developing the company's separately agreed environmental programs in Finland. The location will be at the Sotkamo site, and the Environmental Engineer will report to the Environmental Manager. Job responsibilities: - Coordinating environmental permitting projects to secure both operational and new permits. - Ensure close coordination between permitting and operational activities. - Co-operate and communicate with external (including in particular the environment authorities, consultants etc.) and internal stakeholders in relation to environmental permitting. - Manage environmental permitting processes to meet defined goals (safety, cost, time, quality, team). - Ensure that documents and records are managed with best practice Required skills and knowledge: - Master of Science in Environmental or similar. A proven track record in the management permitting procedures. - Technical knowledge and experience of the legal and regulatory requirements for permitting process steps and Environmental Protection Act in Finland. - Experience in working in a permitting role in the mining or similar industry. - Know-how of sustainability. - Good presentation, influencing and facilitation skills. - Fluent spoken and written Finnish and English language skills. - Excellent communication and organizational skills, able to develop relationships and maintain and engage effective networks within the Mondo organization and relevant industry and external stakeholders - Experience of working in an international environment. - Flexibility, goal-oriented, self-driven Please send your application and CV at the latest on Monday, 13 April 2026 to.
