About the department: FLC is looking for a Senior Lean Process Engineer to strengthen our continuous improvement efforts across all marine activities that support the immersion of the tunnel elements. Your focus will be on increasing the productivity of our marine operations, improving weather driven planning & readiness and optimizing the interfaces between marine, logistics, engineering and onshore production teams. You will work hands-on on vessels, pontoons and in the marine control environment, applying Industrial and Lean methods to stabilize cycles, reduce waiting times and create predictable, data driven operations across the full marine value chain. Main tasks and responsibilities: Lead optimization initiatives for marine productivity, including machine utilization, vessel waiting times, and cycle stability Analyze and improve marine processes from dredging to trench preparation, gravel bed installation and immersion readiness Visualize bottlenecks and waiting-time boards for ships and pontoons to create transparency for decision-making Work hands-on on vessels to identify improvement potentials e.g. via Lean Methods directly in the operational environment Optimize interfaces between dredging, immersion, logistics, engineering, planning and production teams - including the interface to onshore activities Improve weather-driven planning by supporting reliable forecasts, definition of activities for bad weather and ramp-up logic for good weather Introduce and strengthen daily Marine Shopfloor routines and ensure KPI ownership within operational teams Support cross-functional teams in lessons-learned processes for immersion cycles and operations execution - also together with onshore colleagues Challenge and support marine operations in defining and interpreting KPIs using Power BI and operational data Facilitate marine-focused Lean workshops, training sessions and problem-solving activities Qualifications: Degree in civil engineering, industrial engineering, marine engineering, mechanical engineering or similar Minimum 8+ years of experience in Lean Process Engineering, marine operations or offshore construction Hands-on mindset with readiness to work directly on vessels, pontoons and outdoor environments Experience with dredging, immersion, marine logistics or trenching works is a strong advantage Proven experience in applying Lean methods (Value Stream, bottleneck analysis, 5S, etc.) Strong communication and facilitation skills; ability to influence across marine and technical teams Fluent in English, both written and spoken Conditions: FLC considers transparent management structures, short decision-making channels, and a team-oriented environment to be extremely important.
