Beekeper

The employee is capable of independently managing beekeeping operations, performing all seasonal maintenance tasks, and assessing the condition of the hives. Responsibilities include evaluating queen bees and breeding new queens from selected lines, processing honey, controlling crystallization, performing quality assessments, and packaging honey. The role also includes the production of vegetables as part of the farms operations. Requirements: Experience managing over 500 beehives, including queen breeding and hive maintenance. Expertise in honey processing, crystallization control, and quality assessment. Ability to operate equipment used in beekeeping and honey production, such as honey extractors and packaging machines. Valid drivers license (B) and experience operating a tractor. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently. Physical fitness and willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Interest in sustainable agriculture and a desire to develop both beekeeping and crop production. Experience in cultivating white and red onions is considered an advantage.
