We are now looking for nurses and practical nurses who have completed at least 2/3 studies at Rinnekodit Pikkurinne for the small children's unit Rinnekodit Pikkurinne offers long-term maintenance rehabilitative care and short-term temporary care for children with multiple illnesses (0-17 years) with severe intellectual disabilities. With us, you can use your professional skills every day and learn new things in a caring and warm atmosphere. Working with children is diverse and varied, and our super team is always there to support you. Pikkurinne employs practical nurses, nurses, a physiotherapist and the director of the service unit. The unit also has a paediatric neurologist. The unit emphasizes children's medical care and a sustaining rehabilitative approach that always takes into account the individual needs of children. Children need adult help in all daily activities and intensified monitoring of their well-being. We work closely with the children's family and stakeholders. Pikkurinne is located in Lakisto, Espoo, along Vihdintie. Bus route 345 runs regularly between Helsinki and Lakisto with possible access to every shift. With our own car, we are easily accessible, 26 km from Vihti, 8 km from Klaukkala and 19 km from Myyrmäki in Vantaa. Task and its goalsAs a summer employee, you and your team will ensure a meaningful everyday life for the children even during the holiday season. You will work in accordance with our common values and rules, focusing on the needs of our customers. The work may include challenging situations, and our team will help you solve them. Varied working days offer an opportunity to develop professionally and learn new things every day. The work consists of sustaining rehabilitative care and the implementation of the daily needs of well-cared children and the monitoring of their well-being. You will also participate in other common tasks in the unit. We organize even small experiences for children that they enjoy and get joy from. Those moments are also the highlights of the day for us. In the summer, in addition to the usual chores, our everyday life includes sun and warmth, which we enjoy with the children whenever possible. Pikkurinne implements a hospitable orientation model, which allows you to be carefully familiarized with the children's situation and work tasks. We expect you to complete practical nursing studies 2/3 or a completed degree and Suosikki registration OR nursing studies 2/3 or a completed degree and Terhikki registration, the ability to meet children individually and warmly, readiness for three-shift work (the possibility of also a 3/4 shift model, when more days off are accumulated), good Finnish language skills, that you need to keep records, meet clients and relatives, and communicate with different networks.
