DTU Energy is looking for a dedicated and responsibly trained laboratory technician for Team Chemistry. The job In the position, you will be responsible for the correct and safe storage of chemicals across several laboratory zones. You will continuously register and update chemicals in Kemibrug, so that documentation and location information are always accurate. You will be an important support in the purchase of chemicals, laboratory equipment and consumables. In addition, you will support research projects through sample preparation, including epoxy casting, cutting, sputtering and polishing. At the same time, you will be responsible for the operation and development of sample preparation processes, maintenance of equipment, updating workflows and safety procedures, as well as various ad hoc tasks in the daily laboratory operation. You will have a central role in ensuring that the laboratory functions optimally and delivers high-quality samples. Our expectations of you We expect you to be a trained and certified laboratory technician with experience with sample preparation techniques such as epoxy, sputtering and polishing, as well as knowledge of chemical use or similar chemical handling systems. You must be able to communicate in both Danish and English at a high level, as the position involves close collaboration with both Danish and international colleagues. The team works with sample preparation and analysis, operation and optimization of chemical laboratories, equipment responsibility and calibration, as well as proper handling of chemicals and chemical waste. You will have both fixed responsibilities and the opportunity to participate in research activities across projects. Salary and terms of employment Salary and terms of employment in accordance with the OAO-S collective agreement and the organisation agreement for office employees, laboratory technicians and IT staff (HK/Stat). The employment is a full-time position (37 hours per week). The start date is 1 October. September 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter. The workplace is DTU Lyngby Campus, north of Copenhagen.
