Pipe Fitters Wanted
We are looking for: Ship Hull Fitters // Ship Plate Fitters //Platers for marine industry in Denmark Scan Con offers jobs at the Shipyards on Reparation and New Build Departments. Key tasks: Assemble and install ship hull sections according to blueprints and specifications Align and secure structural parts to ensure a proper fit Cut, shape, and prepare metal components for assembly Perform welding, bolting, and riveting tasks as required Locates and marks reference lines; such as center, buttock, and frame lines Positions parts in hull of a Ship, assisted by rigger Aligns parts relation to each other using jacks, lever blocks, chain blocks, clips, wedges, etc. Marks location of holes to be drilled and installs temporary fasteners to hold parts in a place for welding or revising Install packing, gasket, liner, and structural accessories and members such as doors, hatches, brackets, and clips Tack and weld clips and brackets in place prior to permanent welding May prepare molds and templates for fabrication of non-standard parts May roll, bend flange, cut and shape plates, beams, and other heavy metal parts using shop machinery; such as plate roll, presses, bending brakes, and joggle machine Performs other duties as required Skills: English - must be able to communicate in English Always attentive to detail and alert to ensure safety Ability to receive and follow instructions and communicate with co-workers Ability to read labels, safety warnings, and guidelines Experience: Experience is good to have but that's not necessary We Offer you: · Full time job in Denmark · Danish contract signed with Scan Con Construction, work for Scan Con Construction · Attractive salary (also vacation money, Free Choice Account, Labor market pension) · We guarantee 37 hours per week with possibilities for overtime (The normal average weekly working hours are according to the Union agreement as well as any local agreements) · Flight tickets · Transport to/ from job · Accommodation · Safety courses · Work tools and clothes · Help with applying for a residence and work permit after the Fast track scheme · Health insurance / Medical help INTERESTED?
