Work is seasonal, physical, and outdoors. Work tasks: ork takes place in a professional production apiary and involves a wide range of practical beekeeping tasks throughout the active season. This is team-based work with daily direct contact with bee colonies, where the results of your work are immediately visible. The main part of the job is caring for bee colonies – regular hive inspections, monitoring colony development, and carrying out tasks according to the stage of the season. This means constant movement within and between apiaries, handling hives, and working together with other team members to keep the workflow smooth and systematic. The job also includes creating new colonies, strengthening existing ones, and relocating colonies according to the production plan. This provides solid practical insight into colony development and helps you see the bigger picture beyond a single hive. An important part of the season is honey harvesting – lifting and transporting honey supers, extracting honey from combs, and performing honey-handling tasks in the honey house. This is physical work that requires stamina, while also offering the satisfaction of seeing direct results. Additional tasks include: feeding bees and performing seasonal care work maintaining apiary sites and surroundings preparing and cleaning equipment handling combs, frames, and other beekeeping gear various tasks in the honey house (maintenance and support work) Work is mainly outdoors and requires good physical fitness, readiness to work in changing weather conditions, and the ability to handle a fast pace during peak season.
