School Counsellor / Inclusion Assistant (m/f/d) in Düsseldorf (School Counsellor)

Conditions

• Accompany a school child in class for 5.5 hours a day (Monday-Friday, 08:00 to 13:20) in Düsseldorf.
• Subsidy for the monthly ticket is provided.

Tasks

• Support children and young people with mental, physical, or emotional disabilities in their everyday school life.
• Promote concentration and attention to help pupils follow lessons better.
• Assist with integration into the class.
• Support orientation in the school environment and in the execution of tasks.

Requirements

• An impeccable extended certificate of good conduct.
• Good knowledge of German at least at B2 level (non-native speakers must provide a B2 certificate).

Preferred

• Appreciative basic attitude towards people with disabilities.
• Competent handling of children and young people with a wide range of needs.
• Experience with or interest in supportive pedagogical activity.
• Friendliness, patience, reliability, helpfulness, and punctuality.
• Applications from female candidates are preferred due to the explicit wish of the child and family.
