Engineering Expertise & Proven, Trusted Solutions Parker Hannifin is now looking for an HR Leader to join the Urjala manufacturing site for a full-time fixed-term role covering maternity leave. The contract will be approximately for one year. This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of a broad HR scope, work closely with local and international leadership, and support a business undergoing continuous development. What is the purpose of your job? As an HR Leader, you act as the primary HR partner for the Urjala site, supporting leaders and employees with hands-on HR and driving engagement, smooth people processes and a positive, safety-focused culture. The role also has a meaningful country-level and international scope: you support the Nordics HR Director as the Country HR Coordinator for Finland and are part of the EMEA HR team. You will be contributing to the development and implementation of HR practices and initiatives across different levels of the organisation. What are your main duties? You will have a great opportunity to jump into Parker Hannifin's EMEA team while you act as the primary HR partner for the Urjala site. You are also part of the local leadership team. Your role is to ensure that people processes are well executed, employees are supported, and leaders are equipped to lead effectively. You will collaborate closely with site management and play a key role in driving safety, engagement and strong employee relations. Your key tasks include: - Promoting a strong Safety First culture and supporting on-site safety initiatives. - Providing clear guidance to managers on HR policies such as attendance and performance management. - Maintaining constructive and positive cooperation with trade union representatives. - Ensuring fair and consistent application of HR policies to foster good employee relations. - Managing recruitment and onboarding for permanent, temporary and agency employees, including job specifications and salary discussions. - Coordinating employee training and development with managers and monitoring the effectiveness of training activities. - Ensuring timely completion of performance discussions and development reviews. - Supporting succession planning and talent development at the site. - Driving employee engagement through surveys, team initiatives and other local activities. The Urjala site HR Leader responsibilities take up to 60 % of your time. The rest, approximately 40 % you will coordinate country-level HR activities, such as: - Handle essential HR administration and ensure smooth HR processes - Organize employee events and participate in employer branding - Support and coordinate internal communication initiatives - Participate in division, group and country-level HR projects as required What kind of person are you? We value the following qualities and experience: - Optimal background is an HR Generalist with few years of experience, willing to take the next step in your career towards a HR leadership role. - Ideally you have experience from the manufacturing environment or other industry related to the business of Parker Hannifin. - You have knowledge of Finnish employment laws and experience from working with collective agreements. - Experience from international environments (working or studying abroad is a plus). - You are able to see the possibilities that lie in changes and developments that are a normal state of the operating environment. - You are resilient and able to work independently. - You are open to learning and tackling new challenges. - You are comfortable with combining the hands-on operational part and routines with the leadership point of view of the job. - You communicate fluently in both Finnish and English. - You have strong communication, influencing and relationship-building skills. - Also you are handy with computers and systems (Office environment + other systems.
