We are seeking an Early Childhood Education Assistant to join the team at Bumblebees Kindergarten Oy in Helsinki. The position is group-specific, and the work is carried out in close collaboration with the teaching team, following a small-group approach. Bumblebees Kindergarten is a Cambridge International Kindergarten, where we emphasize childrens holistic wellbeing, participation, and project-based learning in a multilingual environment. The Early Childhood Education Assistant is an important member of the team, supporting childrens daily routines, learning, and social interaction. The role includes assisting children in everyday situations and implementing individual support in cooperation with the group staff and guardians, under the guidance of the teacher. Key responsibilities include: Supporting children in daily routines (play, transitions, meals, dressing); Assisting with small-group activities and daily pedagogical work; Promoting childrens wellbeing, safety, and participation; Using visual support and other support methods when needed; Working closely with the groups teaching team. We expect you to have: Experience working with children or relevant education/studies; Excellent Finnish language skills (essential and a priority); Good to excellent English language skills; A flexible, sensitive, and encouraging approach to working with children; Strong teamwork skills and a responsible attitude. Experience with visual supports, sign-supported communication, or other early childhood support methods is considered an advantage, but is not required.
