Senior Granite Processing Technician (CNC Multi-Blade Cutting and Large Wheel Loader Operation)

Nordic Outdoor Stone Oy is a Finnish natural stone company that operates an indoor granite processing plant in Oulainen, North Ostrobothnia. The plant cuts high-density granite blocks into slabs and other products using large CNC multi-blade diamond cutting centres and heavy handling equipment. We are looking for a Senior Granite Processing Technician who can take responsibility for both CNC cutting operations and large wheel loader work in a demanding, safety-critical industrial environment. Main tasks: - Operate large CNC multi-blade diamond cutting centres for granite and other dense stones in an indoor factory environment. - Adjust cutting parameters, tool settings, feed rates and cutting strategies based on the structure and quality of each block. - Monitor the cutting process and stop the machine to check and correct any abnormal vibration, noise, burn marks or deviation from the cutting line. - Support trouble shooting of technical issues related to the cutting process and the machines to keep quality and productivity stable. - Take part in daily maintenance and basic process optimisation together with maintenance staff and supervisors. - Train and support junior operators in safe machine operation and basic processing techniques when needed. - Operate a 23 ton or larger wheel loader to feed blocks safely to the cutting lines and move finished slabs in the yard and factory. - Load, move and position blocks and slabs precisely, avoiding tipping, collisions and crushing risks. - Follow all company safety rules, lock out and tag out procedures and site traffic instructions strictly. - Use personal protective equipment correctly at all times and immediately report safety observations and near miss situations.
