Senior Industrial Coating Specialist – Complex Steel Structures

Due to significant growth, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Industrial Coating Specialist to strengthen our professional team. Position Overview As a Senior Industrial Coating Specialist at Burgaard ApS, you will play a key role in the execution, planning, and quality control of advanced coating systems on critical steel structures. Your responsibilities will include: Performing abrasive blasting, metallization, epoxy and polyurethane systems, and complex multi-coat solutions. Applying fire-retardant (intumescent) coating systems in accordance with manufacturer and project specifications. Working in compliance with ISO 12944, client-specific standards, and documented procedures. Conducting coating measurements, climate registration, curing control, and all required QC documentation. Reading and understanding technical data sheets, project specifications, and drawings. Collaborating with project managers, inspectors, and third-party quality auditors. This position requires precision, technical insight, and the ability to work according to strict quality and traceability requirements. Qualifications We are looking for a top-level professional with solid experience and a proven technical background. Minimum requirements: At least 5 years of documented experience in industrial coating of steel structures. Strong experience with ISO 12944 or similar international standards. Experience with fireproof or intumescent coatings is a significant advantage. Experience with advanced coating build-ups in high-corrosion environments (C4, C5, CX). Strong skills in quality assurance and documentation. Ability to work independently and maintain high professional discipline. Advantage: Certification such as FROSIO Level 1–3, NACE/AMPP, or similar. Advantage: Formal vocational training in industrial surface treatment or equivalent. Language requirements: Danish or English at a level sufficient for understanding safety rules, technical documentation, and quality procedures.
