The International School of Hellerup is looking for flexible, caring, and reliable Substitute Teachers to join our After School Care Programme (ASCP). The ASCP team provides a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where students can relax, play, and grow after the school day. Substitutes are called in to cover staff absences and support daily activities with students in a positive and collaborative atmosphere. Key Responsibilities Supervise and support students during ASCP hours, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment. Facilitate play-based and recreational activities that promote students’ social, emotional, and physical development. Encourage cooperation, independence, and positive relationships among students. Assist with transitions, outdoor play, and routines as part of the ASCP team. Communicate and collaborate effectively with ASCP colleagues to ensure continuity and quality of care. Qualifications and Skills Experience working with children in a school or childcare setting. Fluency in English (Danish is an advantage). A warm, flexible, and student-centred approach. Reliability and ability to adapt to changing situations. Understanding of or interest in the International Baccalaureate (IB) philosophy. Working Hours Substitute positions are on-call and typically cover shifts Monday to Friday between 14:00–17:00, with extended hours on Fridays (13:00-17:00).
