We are looking for a proactive and safety-conscious Foreman to lead site teams and support project delivery in line with Finnish regulations and Severfield's world-class standards. About the role: As Foreman Erector, you will lead and manage your team on-site, ensuring all work is carried out safely, correctly, and on schedule. You will work closely with the Site Supervisor and project management team to support progress and maintain compliance with company procedures, Finnish legislation, and industry best practices. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll set the example, helping your team meet daily targets while promoting a strong safety culture. Key Responsibilities: - Supervise your team to ensure safe, high-quality, and timely project delivery. - Ensure all Risk Assessments, Method Statements (RAMS), task briefings, and permits are completed and followed. - Conduct daily safety assessments and task briefings. - Oversee the proper use of plant, tools, and PPE in compliance with regulations. - Maintain safe work areas with appropriate barriers and signage. - Monitor work quality and complete required documentation, such as bolt check sheets and safety checklists. - Support and mentor junior workers and trainees. - Maintain clear records of work progress, delays, and resource use to support the project team. - Collaborate with site management on materials, logistics, and project coordination. - Report any absences, delays, or safety concerns immediately. - Lead by example, demonstrating high standards of safety, behaviour, and workmanship. What We're Looking For: - Proven experience as a Foreman in construction or structural steel projects. - Strong understanding of health & safety procedures and risk management. - Excellent leadership and communication skills. - High attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality work. - Ability to motivate teams and maintain productivity. - Experience working in Finland or knowledge of Finnish construction regulations is an advantage. - Relevant certifications (such as CSCS, SSSTS/SMSTS, or local equivalents) are desirable. - English language skills are required; Finnish language skills are an advantage.
