The Department of Regional Health Research, Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Southern Denmark (SDU) and Zealand University Hospital (ZUH) invite applications for 2-3 part-time (50%) position(s) as professor(s) in Clinical Nursing to be filled as soon as possible. The positions are for 5-year periods with the possibility of extension. Expectations and tasks The professorships in nursing will be expected to strengthen the person-centered profile within ZUH and the clinical department(s)' practice research. The professors’ main tasks will be to manage, lead, and apply for clinically relevant and practice-based nursing research projects/programs. The professors will be expected to be involved in knowledge transfer to all levels of health care professionals and to society, to have administrative responsibilities and to teach/supervise students at all levels. The successful applicant(s) will also be expected to help form and support the research strategies of Zealand University Hospital, including the research strategies of the department(s). Qualifications Applicants, who must be fluent in Danish, must document that they hold a part-time position as recognized Associate University Professors in a clinical hospital setting. This includes holding a PhD degree and positive assessment as Associate Professor in Nursing with relevance to clinical nursing research. Applicants with an interest in, and documented experience from any or all of the following areas will be prioritized: Clinical and practice-based research relating to palliative care, point of care/rapid response, transitional care, ethics, cancer care and/or practice development more broadly, strong qualitative methodological competencies systematic reviews strong interest in communication and translation of evidence into clinical practice and society in general, patient and public involvement publishing in well-established research journals ability to attract external funding and international collaborators, good collaborative abilities with interdisciplinary research teams and other stakeholders outside of academia. The successful applicant(s) will be expected to bring significant experience in teaching and supervising clinicians and students, and in mentoring PhD students and junior faculty members. Participation in assessment work is part of the position. Moreover, profiling this research area in the public eye and expanding collaboration with other researchers at the hospitals in the Region of Southern Denmark, at SDU, the in the rest of Denmark and abroad will be an important task.
