The role requires a deep understanding of ship operations, maintenance, and compliance with maritime regulations. You will be responsible for ensuring vessels are technically sound, safe, and operated efficiently while adhering to the highest standards of quality and safety. Key Responsibilities: - Fleet Management: Oversee the technical operations of assigned vessels, ensuring they are well-maintained and compliant with industry standards and regulations. - Maintenance & Repair: Plan, coordinate, and supervise preventive maintenance, repairs, and dry-docking activities to minimize vessel downtime and ensure operational efficiency. - Inspections & Audits: Conduct regular vessel inspections to ensure compliance with international maritime standards (ISM, SOLAS, MARPOL), flag state, and class requirements. - Budgeting & Cost Control: Prepare and manage the technical budgets for assigned vessels, ensuring cost-effective maintenance without compromising safety and performance. - Technical Support: Provide technical advice and solutions to the crew and onshore staff for any vessel-related issues, offering prompt support in case of operational challenges or emergencies. - Project Management: Coordinate technical projects such as retrofitting, upgrading, and modification work to enhance vessel performance. - Contractor & Supplier Liaison: Work closely with external contractors, shipyards, and suppliers to ensure quality, timely repairs and equipment procurement. - Crew Training & Support: Collaborate with vesse...
