We are looking for a R&D Draftsperson/Design Engineer (m/f/d) for our new entity EFP (https://www.efpeurofacade.com/) in Marum, Netherlands. Your Tasks As a R&D Draftsperson/Design Engineer at EFP European Facade Products, you will be responsible for developing and designing system profiles for facades, skylights, windows, and doors. In doing so, you take all aspects such as wind-load, water resistance, static requirements, design, budget, and technical feasibility into account. You will work closely with customers to create customized solutions for special architectural project requirements where our standard façade systems don’t meet the requirements. In the design phase, you’ll peruse project drawings and consult with the customer, architect and/or consultant on their specific needs and demands by e-mail, video conferencing or phone. After, you will develop one or more proposals based on existing profiles and the required shape. You’ll consider materials available of the facade contractors’ preference, and the suitability of the building, among other things. 2D drawing in AutoCAD will form a significant part of your job, while a technical understanding of facade systems and the ability to work independently will be important. You’ll join a technical design team consisting currently of approximately four colleagues, and each has experience of its own. In this role, you will report to the general manager. EFP European Facade Products mainly works on projects in the Middle East, India, Pakistan and Africa, you should be able to properly communicate in English and constantly switch between several ongoing projects. Required - Senior secondary vocational/higher education or equivalent ability - Preferably 3-5 years of relevant work experience - Knowledge of AutoCAD - Proper command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written - Technical understanding of the facade industry Conditions 40-hour work week €2,800 – €3,600 (depending on knowledge and experience) 25 vacation days Reimbursement of travel expenses Opportunities for training and growth Note for applicants from abroad.
